Hey guys. I’m sure y’all have heard of SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect IP Act). These two bills will end the internet for good. And sites like Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Wikipedia, Youtube, Google, and more will be banned. All of the American-based sites will no longer exist because of these 2 bills. That means no more Tumblr for all of us. Obama said no to this, which is good. But there will still be a voting in the US. These are the sponsors of SOPA and PIPA. I’m sorry to say that we’ll have to boycott them or else the internet will no longer exist. I know most of us buy things from these companies but this is really important. So if you live in America or an American citizen, please, please, PLEASE vote against this! And reblog this and spread the word!
REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG!!!
Stop SOPA!

PLEASE REBLOG THIS. IF YOU THINK IT’LL RUIN YOUR BLOG REMEMBER—THERE WONT BE ANYMORE BLOGS! REBLOG AND SIGN THE PETITION! GO GO GO, EVERY SIGNATURE COUNTS.

omg Nintendo. This is such betrayal! We trusted you! D:

I’m using a Toshiba laptop to reblog this…. and I have a Sony PS3 which I will play on later.  That was purchased from Wal-Mart.  The bottom three is going to be insanely hard for me.   But the rest are really easy because I use unpopular alternatives already.
PS: CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN/WOMAN!!! And your House Representative!! They both have to vote on these bills.

Alright guys, I’ll start it. I’m changing my profile picture on tumblr to this image. I don’t know if it will do anything, to be honest, but at least everyone will know where I stand.

What a great idea! I hope you don’t mind that I’m using it. And broadcasting it.
Now I feel like a thief, but at least your words are spread =].

Reblog if you legally purchased something BECAUSE you saw it on YouTube or downloaded it.

And without the so-called piracy, you would never have discovered or gotten into it to begin with.

If you see a link to a “new” Megaupload DO NOT CLICK IT

dancingsamuraii:

cultphilosophy:

It can land you in prison for 10 years. Clicking the link opens up something that will force you to perform a DDoS attack on certain websites (for example, the MPAA website). The goal is to take all of the websites down, but, it can get a lot of people who don’t know what’s going on in trouble/

THIS NEEDS TO APPEAR ON PEOPLES DASHBOARDS SOONER WHAT IF PEOPLE CLICK ON IT BY ACCIDENT OMG >:C

OH SHIT. I opened it.
OH GOD.

I really want to do this.  Right now.

I really want to do this.  Right now.

BLACK MARCHThursday, March 1st 2012 to Saturday 31st March 2012
With the continuing campaigns for Internet-censoring litigation such as SOPA and PIPA, and the closure of sites such as Megaupload under allegations of ‘piracy’ and ‘conspiracy’ the time has come to take a stand against music, film and media companies’ lobbyists.
The only way is to hit them where it truly hurts.Their profit margins.
March 2012 is the end of the 1st quarter in economic reports worldwide.
Do not buy a single record. Do not download a single song, legally or illegally. Do not go to see a single film in cinemas, or download a copy, Do not buy a DVD in the stores. Do not buy a videogame. Do not buy a single book or magazine.
Wait the 4 weeks to buy them in April: see the film later, etc. Holding out for just 4 weeks, maximum, will leave a gaping hole in media and entertainment companies’ profits for the 1st quarter, an economic hit which will in turn be observed by governments worldwide as stocks and shares will blip from a large enough loss of incomes. This action can give a statement of intent:
”We will not tolerate the Media Industries’ lobbying for legistation which will censor the internet.”

shit just got real

this is kinda cool

interesting concept

An excuse to stay home and do nothing in protest of my government?why the fuck not?

I’ll probably do this, but only buy from companies that are not supporting sopa.

^^ Agreed. I’ll buy from places that say down with SOPA. But it wouldn’t be hard for me to not do all of these things. I don’t do most of them regularly, anyway.
